Judge for yourself.
As Life Returns

A sliver of gold slides,
Across a stem it glides.
Shimmers through new born tides,
Slick upon the sand it rides.
Life that finds another day,
Loves to relive the same old play.
It treads the paths that time did lay,
If chasing the drip of history away.
For much the light will do,
Fill the space through and through.
Ever finding dark to chew,
Ending the nights hold on you.
Refilling the dank buckets of fear
Replaced with golden baskets free of drear
Even bringing the occasional tear,
Etching all the sounds we hear.
Together light and dark,
Tremble the leaf and the bark.
Underneath the others still hark,
Unless solitude prevents remark.
Replies form from all around,
Ringing brightly from the sound.
Never though remain forever round,
Neatly swallowed, digested, drowned.
Still life always knows,
Somewhere close, its gold seed grows.

As life returns.
