Chemistry between a teacher and baseball player heat up.
Part Two:

"Christ, I change young people's lives and he swings a wooden bat, but yet my apartment would fit into his entrance!" I was taken aback by how large Jonesy's house was. It was a mansion, and people where walking around everywhere. Three women walked by wearing only bikinis. I turned around to leave. "Ashley I don't belong here."

She pushed me in farther. "You just need to mingle come on." She pushed her way through the crowd.

We walked around with her waving to people, introducing me. I still didn't know why I had agreed to come; I knew a small part of me wanted to see my wolf. I wanted him to know I wasn't attracted to him, definitely not attracted to him, at all.

"I'm going to see if Jonesy has any extra bathing suits."

As soon as she left I headed in the opposite direction. No way in hell was I going to be that girl. I went down some stairs and walked until I entered a backroom that looked like an arcade. There were video machines, a pool table, ping pong, and darts. I was surprised no one was in here and then remembered the half naked women in the pool. I ran my fingers over the Centipede game. "Sorry old friend, I guess you just don't hold the pull you use to with the boys."

"Didn't your grandmother warn you about wondering off the path alone?"

I turned around and saw Jason standing in the doorway. I didn't notice how incredibly good looking he was in a dark blue button down shirt. "I forgot wolves roamed these woods."

He smiled. "That's right a wolf in good guy's clothing that is what you said wasn't it?"

I ignored his comment and decided to get this over with as soon as possible. "Shouldn't I be asking for your autograph or something?"

He looked down for a moment and then stepped into the room. He walked over to the ping pong table and began bouncing the ball. "Ashley told you?"

"Yes, imagine my surprise when I found out I was talking to the state's number one bachelor."

"I don't know about number one, probably top five though."

I sighed. "Look you don't have to play wingman with me. I'm not going to interrupt your friend and Ashley."

He looked up at me and I could have sworn I saw shock on his face for a moment. "I'm not playing wingman."

I crossed my arms. "Well I find it hard to believe you are picking Centipede," I was not going to say me, "over a pool full of bikini clad women."

He smiled again and I noticed he had dimples. Dimples! God help me he was a freaking walking sex fantasy.

"I was never one for Centipede," he held up the ping pong ball, "but ping pong now that is where it's at."

I laughed and grabbed the other paddle. "Well bring it on Mister All-star because I was the eight-grade champion." I figured if I emasculated him at ping pong he would leave me alone. We began hitting it back and forth.

"So how are you and Ashley friends?" He asked.

"We met in college."

"I see, you grew up and she didn't."

I felt defensive for Ashley. "She's very smart. Is that where you and Jonesy met, college?"

"I didn't go to college and I see what you are saying. I apologize."

We were quiet for awhile just concentrating on the game; it was obvious we were both competitive. In the end I won and being a little more than pleased I put my hands in the air for victory. "Yes!" I gave him a side glance. "Pro-athlete huh?"

He walked around the table to me and slid his knuckles down my cheek.

Warning bells started going off in my head. My mind kept repeating over and over again, you're out of your league Cain!

"You have the sassiest green eyes I've ever seen." He said.

"And I'm sure you've seen a lot." I was trying to rely on my sarcastic wit to keep my feet on the ground.

He shook his head and ran his finger over my lips. "You have one hell of a smart mouth too."

Ok forget wittiness, it completely deserted me. He leaned down and brushed his lips over mine. I felt my eyes close, which must have been invitation enough for him, because he then claimed my mouth. I felt my hands slid into his hair while his hands started making their way up my shirt.

"Wow, sorry Jas!"

I pulled away from him and looked toward the door. A man stood there, or wavered there, with two women draped over him.

He winked at me. "I'll take my party elsewhere."

I couldn't move. Me, a respected teacher had turn to putty after one kiss. I mentally shook myself. He was a pro-athlete; he probably seduced three women before breakfast. I turned and headed toward the door. "Ashley is probably looking for me." I mumbled

He caught my wrist. "You're running again."

I pulled my arm out of his grasp. "I'm not a damn groupie!"

He narrowed his eyes. "I wasn't aware I was treating you like one."

"I mean you're not going to get anywhere with me."

He put his hands in his pockets. "What was his name?"

I shook my head in confusion. "What?"

"The guy whose mistakes I'm paying for."

I sucked in a breathe. "My I.Q. is too high for you."

"That, is getting old."

I was half way out the door when he said, "But that's ok, your bust size makes up for it!"
