Apathy toward taxation and enslavement, as if visited by a founding father reincarnated
There it lie
You look, pass it by
Pick it up, carry it
Oh, I'm too busy, not I

Our forefathers died fighting tyranny and taxation
To form this nation

A nickel here, 8% there...what do I care
There's always welfare

Property, income, sales taxes
All for the common good
Big Brotherhood

Article 1 Section 8
Is the Constitution a dead letter
What the hell, life couldn't be better

If I were alive, I'd cry
Why did I die

Cradle to grave so you are kept
A better arrangement ol' King George could not have dreamt

April 15 is near
Write those checks, fill out those forms so clear
God forbid you live in fear

Yet ye revolt not
A Red Coat's muzzle
We were shot

We fought against might
All so you'd spit on liberty's light

Catch my breath in the wind's next whistle
My heart will bristle

And in the home of the brave
We will not slave
