There Should Be Us

Tears building in my eyes,
It should come as no suprise,
That I pass them off as flies or
some allergy anew.
Still, I decide to hold them in
Until my tear ducts all strech thin
And the water flows down my check again.

There should be a cavern
On my face
From the river thats flowed
over that same place
There should be a canyon
Inches deep
From the tidewave that comes
Each time that I weep.

I held it all in, now nothing is wrong
Just lay down and turn up the song
Everyone think everything is okay
So you fake your crooked smile
Everyday.

There should be a hole
In the pit of my chest
