The Bible vs. Congress Excerpt

We can see where the seperation of church and state is active in our society. For example, Prayer is prohibited in public schools.The ten commandments are ordered to be taken down from the walls of the local courthouse. But when it comes to the question of same sex marriage, the government is in shambles about what to do. The question is "What do they want to do?". The debate is no longer a matter of what the law says, which affords equal protection for all, but a matter of personal opinion.

I can speak all day on the subject of homosexuality and whether it is right or wrong but what the bible commands is seperate from society. Biblical beliefs on homosexuality apply to those who desire to live the Christian life only. Our Lord states in John 3:17 " For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved". See, Condemnation does not produce the results that this nation would like to see. A better world results from better people. Better people result from coming into a saving knowledge of Christ. Condemnation moves people in this nation further away from the hope that is in Jesus Christ.

Proclaim Marriage Equality! "Let it be our choice!"
