A story about a unicorn and a girl
Sister Moon smiles, lighting up the clear night sky. A forest stands not far from a sleeping town. This forest is made up of the colossal redwoods that shelter the fragile creatures of the world. Over the ages they have stunned humans with the one thing that seperates them from any person or any animal, Magic.

One of these magical creatures is him. The beautiful unicorn who swells with pride and passion. His mind an eternal spark which brings fire to his soul. He is full of wisdom for the gentle, light-hearted, young bringing joy to his heart. As he strides, he arrives with a sense of perfection, grace. His pearl alihorn forms the magic of our dreams. Below the cresent moon apon his forhead gives life to Sister Moon. He is greater than the white mustang he leads people, of the day, to think. He is the greatest, and the proudest of all creatures, for her has been named King of their Redwood Empire.

Although this night the king is filled with sorrow. He feels empty and incomplete. He has no soul mate. He has made love before and his decendents now rule there own herd. Yes he has made love, but he does not seek a lover. He seeks a friend but of a different race. His disire grows stronger as he grows old. Tonight he urges to feel happiness and relief. Tonight he urges for a friend.

He walks along his herd and as he is passing a young foal walks in front of him and stops. When she does not bow to him he does not get angry and jabs her soft downy wings with his alihorn. She whinnies and trots in circles wanting to play. He worships her youth and lower his robust head in a bow. She notices his cresent moon and relizes he is the king, but she is not ashamed. She bows and then nuzzles him as to say, "Thank you. You truely are a great king." Then she trots away.

He watches her trot away to her mother to spin the tale of her and the king. She is so free like her newborn wings, and she is so different like her creamy coat. It is not white like the others. Just when he finds an once of Happinees it drains at the thought of those wings of her. Soon those wings will be traded for a horn and she will not be free. She will be stuck to the earth.

He leaves and heads toward a drinking pool to regain his thoughts and soothe his mind. As he lowers his head to drink he notices a pair of amber eyes. He is startled and he steps cautiously to the eyes. The eyes begin move too. They move closer to him and he backs away. "Do not be afraid. I am just a child but a smart one," says the girl who appears in front of him.

She is the complete oppisite of him. She has chocolate brown skin and long black hair. She is dressed in a white cotton shirt and a brightly colored skirt. She wears no shoes. She reaches out to touch the King's cresent moon. He is not startled and lets her approach. As she touches his forhead she feels a conection with him. He feels the same.

"You are not so different. You have a alihorn maybe but you feel and act the same as me. You feel the pain of being alone, but you shouldn't worry for I will be your friend. I will meet you at night and we shall share our feeling." She says and then she runs back through the underbrush.

The next night he returns but with the young mare. The child is already by the pool...
