Creating a reason to the pain.
Imagine a feeling,
That picks its way at your heart,
It hurts more than death…
Or life…
It arches your back,
And brings a scream from your lips.
You would give anything to make it stop.
The pain tears through your body,
Feeling no mercy, no remorse,
You think that what is causing the pain
Does not care about you…
You think that it wants to hurt you,
So you let it… you let the pain happen.
You let it tear you apart
Though there is no blood,
This kind of pain does not cause you to bleed,
Your true love hurts you in a different way to that,
You feel pain every time he smiles at you
Because you know that this can’t be happening,
You know that this has to be…
To good… to ever be true,
You let the pain in…
Almost welcome it,
Sometimes you wish there was blood,
At least then there would be a reason to the pain,
So you… yourself, cause the blood,
You make it flow,
Then… there is the reason to be feeling all of this,
There is the reason, to the hurt and suffering,
The blood draining from your veins
Almost brings peace,
You feel the pain all over again
But you know now
As you look down at the scars,
The pain will never again,
Not have a reason.
