A Mother who stood so Grand only to fall when she had helped Daughter

A Tree so Grand

Once there stood a tree so grand

With yellow flowers and confidence,

She bent and swayed with each day

So eventually I came her way.

Her branches grew so very strong

Around the small and broken one

Her flowers grew so splendidly

Until her roots caught in me

I wound my little broken leaves

Around her so tenderly

She guided me through those trees

God made me strong and so powerfully.

I took his way and gained my life

Taking each step so grandfully

The tree so strong stood watching

Me lift and grow spiritually

Then somehow withered woefully

I didn’t notice her yellow flowers Fade

And go away, underground, so painfully

Unaware of her despair, I marched Onwards

So wonderfully and Oh how

My leaves all turned green

Time past by so gracefully

Before I knew it my tree became three.

Full of joy and harmony

My branches Thrived in time

Encouraging small growth to grow spiritually

But without warning the tree so grand

Got tangled with vines, so painfully

Now I see the tree you used to be

In my minds eye it was pleasant you see

Until reality hit so hard and painfully

You were so strong and we did belong

But now you’re gone, oh what went wrong?

The yellow flowers have all gone

Your branches are broken and weak

While my tree stands so grand now

All I see is what you used to be.

Time is cruel you broke his rules

Now you pay for your wrong turn that day

While I stand with him at my side

I pray in my heart that one day

You decide to join our trunk and

Work hard and strive to join our side

Life’s not cheap, and it’s not for the weak

So fight for your life, don’t follow the bleak

Because one day you will find him standing

So fine, right in front of the tree that once stood

So splendidly and he will chop you away forever, you see

That tree is my mother I followed so grand

And God made her strong and we did belong

To someone so wonderful but someone could see

The happiness that came to be in me

So he knew he couldn’t stand

Next to one so grand, so he eventually

Ripped her roots so painfully

Now she drowns in front of me

Daily sighing how it came to be

My tree grows on faithfully with strong

Branches swinging briskly

Though one hangs uncomfortably

My tree tries to grow stubbly

Though my mother has left her life

I go on hoping and knowing flight

She drowns her sorrows painfully

While God lifts my head briskly

I know in my heart me and my family

Will go on serving him faithfully

But deep in my heart I can’t help to see

The pain of loosing that one, once, grand tree.
