What I think of the DaVinci Code Book |
The DaVinci Code and my feelings on it. These are just my feelings on why I don't think the book The DaVinci Code should make a negative impact on Christians. I am a Christian. I have also read the book The Da Vinci Code. I loved that book. I think alot of people are losing sight of some very important issues. First all let me say that Jesus came to us as a human. Granted, a very gifted human, but human. This is very important to me. Any angel could come to earth and pretend to experience human emotions, but then, what does it matter. It is all pretend. For Jesus to come to us as human, to experience all that a human experiences, actually feel, that matters. He did not pretend to feel happiness, sorrow, fear or love. He did not pretend to feel immense pain, fear or death on the cross. He truly experienced them. That means something. To know that he felt and actually experienced all these things as a human instead of an omnipotent being means something. If he could do all this, then why would it bother me to know he got to experience the love of a woman and experience the joy of having a child? He died for me, how could I possibly want him to be denied such a joyful thing as a man? If you forget his humanity then everything he did and said and tried to teach us is for naught. He could have done everything he did on earth without being human with the exception of experience the emotions of a human being. If it wouldn't have mattered what form he used then what was the point of being born human, and why would anyone get upset with a man who loved them so much he died for them, to know he got to experience one of the ultimate forms of love between two people? If it ever happened and Jesus did get to experience the love of having a wife and child then I am happy for him. He did so much more for me. I wish him any and all happiness he experienced while here on earth. |
