Tuk-Tuk

A Tuk-Tuk is essentially an open air taxi. It's a Tricycle with a small area in back for passengers to sit. I don't know what it's top speed is, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to be in one just to find out. However, I loved riding in them, even if they are pretty bumpy....

Hope to ride in one of these when I get to Thailand. I want to visit Isan (north-east). I suspect there will be traditional modes of transportation as it's the poorer neglected corner of Thailand. In the Thai TV series "He's coming to me" there's a wonderful scene with Med (who's a ghost) riding on top of one.
