My Favorite Romance Novel of All Time...

Mawidge is a dweam wiffin a dweam.

That is a line from my favorite romance novel of all time. The Princess Bride, written by William Goldman. It's a timeless tale of True Love, adventure, sword fights, battles of wit and evil rulers. But more importantly, it's the love story of a beautiful milkmaid and her handsome farm boy. From the first page I was caught up in their world. It had everything I thought a romance novel should have and more. It had heart!

This was years before the movie came out, back when books were books...and movies were movies*Laugh* I can remember seeing the movie for the first time and thinking they picked the perfect people to play the characters. This was my favorite romance in real-life form.

For me, a romance story should be just like this book. There should always be True Love, and True Love knows no boundaries! When the hero and heroine come together, the reader must feel their love. And when they are pulled apart, the reader must feel as if their heart is being pulled apart too.

They must be part of the hero's battles, fighting side-by-side with him as he risks everything he has to save the one Love of his life. The one person he cannot, under any circumstances, live without. The other half of his being. He must be willing to lose it all, just for one more moment in her arms! The belief that True Love can conquer all, overcome every obstacle, make one live Happily Ever After, is what drives a great romance novel along! And what keeps me reading one.

That's what romance is to me*Smile*

Thank you for taking the time to read. Happy Writing!
