I remember one of my first dates with my husband. We were stationed in Germany at the time. (We met in the military). We traveled to Hanau from Bad Hersfeld to have dinner at Chi Chi's, a Mexican restaurant. And while I hate to admit it, I'd never tried Mexican before. I enjoyed nachos, fajitas, and margaritas. What unique flavors! I enjoy sharing the experience with him, having fun, and laughing. For me, romance has always been about the quality time you spend with your partner. That's what I expect from romance.
A romance should cultivate a healthy relationship. Some ideas include: sharing common interests (my husband and I enjoy scouting with our boys), walk hand-in-hand, hug after work, tell each other good night and don't forget to smile. Often, the little things mean much more and are easily remembered.
Sporty people enjoy hiking together. Little gifts like flowers and chocolate bring a smile to one's face. Others enjoy a meal together – at home or out. Keep in mind that quality time is important. Put down the smart phones and find time to just hang out - at the mall, at the movies, or a local hang out/restuarant.
