Swept Under The Rug
Crime happens everywhere. It's just a matter of what kind it is. In the past few weeks, I've seen so much hate crime just in the area I live in that it could last me a lifetime. I'm not sure how much the media shows nationally or internationally but it should be show and it should be stopped.
When you write about crime, most likely you want write about the racial issues which surround us but they are very much alive. I'm not taking any sides and I'll let you form your own opinion, but when you see and hear that a person is dragged out of a car and beaten up with hammers only because of their skin color, something should be done. But who should get involved and what type of measures should be taken to prevent such a thing? More likely than not it'll be swept under a rug and, eventually, forgotten.
When you write about your murder mystery, is there ever such a thing as racism in it? Do you discuss it? What do you do?
I'm refraining from asking the question as to how you feel about it. A crime is a crime no matter what the motive, but certain things in this world have not been discussed enough or have never been truly fixed. Looting , rioting, and murdering random strangers isn't going to fix the problem. What do you think would?
I'm mostly curious about your reactions to such crimes and the solutions. Looking forward to your reply!
