About This Newsletter

Horror fiction is like any other fiction; the best stories are those that make the reader feel. In the case of horror fiction, the darker emotions predominate; fear, envy, jealousy, and the like. A good horror story is a story of someone's fears come to life.

Letter from the editor

Here in the United States of America, we've been living in the midst of a chilling real-life horror story; Hurricane Katrina and it's aftermath.

The news and human stories coming from New Orleans, and the other areas affected by the storm and the flooding, have stunned and shocked us with their unrelenting horror, heartbreak, and devastation.

Nothing in fiction could possibly surpass the terror, fear, and loss of the past few days. I couldn't make myself write about fictional horror, for this newsletter, when real life horror is on every news channel right now.

The people of New Orleans, and the other cities hit by this devastation, need our help. Please let's do what we can for the people affected by this tragedy.
