About This Newsletter

A banner for the Romance/Love newsletter.

February is a month dedicated for love with Valentines Day falling right in the middle. The stories are many about Valentine, but old, with no concrete proof of the right one. Some say Valentine married Roman soldiers when there was an order not to. Others say Valentine was jailed and fell in love with the jailer's daughter. He wrote her love letters from jail. She begged her father to spare Valentine, but the jailer took Valentine's life.

Romance is about creating a mood. It's helped by having a setting that inspires love. Today I thought I'd do a countdown of some of the most romantic cities in the world.

Letter from the editor

10: London
London's appeal centers around the numerous historical churches, castles, and cathedrals scattered throughout the city.

9: Vienna
Vienna is the home of many historical love nests. It's scenic beauty is like an arrow to the heart.

8: Monte Carlo
Beautiful churches, appealing landscapes, and calm nature views set a romantic tone.

7: New Orleans
Riverboats, carriage rides and cruises speak to the romantic appeal of the city. And let's not forget Drew Brees. *Wink*

6: Melbourne
In the state of Victoria, Australia, Melbourne's historical buildings strike a romantic chord from the stained glass ceiling in the Great Hall of the National Gallery of Victoria to it's contemporary views of the seacoast.

5: New York
Central Park, the Empire State Building, and the Statute of Liberty strike romantic beats in one's heart.

4: Venice
Beautiful water landscapes, canals, and St. Mark's Cathedral spells romance in every little corner.

3: Boston
The city blends a modern look next to historic sites of Colonial New England.

2: San Francisco
The gateway to California's wine country starts with the Golden Gate Bridge. The rich waterscapes and lush greenery stir the romantic heartstrings.

1: Paris
Known as the City of Lights, the rich architecture which includes the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame paint the ultimate romantic setting.
