Dear Santa...
It's a busy time of the year for those who celebrate holidays like Christmas and Hanukkah. Lots of social gathering and shopping can keep a writer busy. But what to do when you have all the gifts wrapped and cookies frosted? Enter a contest! Join an activity!
There are a lot of daily or short term contests that could inspire a little story from your fingertips and win some gift points. And we all love gift points...right? It's always an awesome feeling when you can renew or upgrade your membership with those lil points. But to accumulate them, you have to be active on the site. So not only should you get extravagant gifts for your favourite Sr. Mod , you should bank a few for account renewal.
It's a good time to participate in holiday doings on the site, and also a great time to gift your favourite members with reviews and comments in their portfolio. Not only is it a pleasure to find an email saying a friend has visited your portfolio and reviewed your work, but it can take away a little of that holiday stress many of us feel.
Don't forget a new year is right around the corner! It would be a good time to go through your portfolio and organize your writing. Folders are great! And a good time to clean out junky writing you're not thrilled with, delete old images you don't use or edit something you haven't had time for. Perhaps dust off an old contest and revive it for early next year.
Until then, see you next year in Contests & Activities!
