I think my favorite couples would have to be Darcy and Lizzy from Pride and Prejudice and Elrond and Celebrian from Tolkien's world of Middle Earth. -
Fiona Hassan
My favorites are Elisabeth and Darcy, who I think opitimise the bad boy turns good relationship, which is something I find fascinating. Although, being a bit of a twilight mum, Bella and Edward are hig up there too! -

Romeo and Juliet are still one of my favorite all time literary couples. Believe it or not, Jillian's Hunter, Eloise and Drake from her Boscastle series have resonated with me and I read the stories 2 or 3 years ago. -

Crys, my two favorite fictional literary couples in terms of romance would be the couple in Dr. Zhivago, and Ryan Oneal and Ali McGraw in Love Story. But we need to remember that not all love stories are fictional. There are many taking place in real life (and I personally know of two of those). This was a great newsletter, Crys, and I thank you for bringing up the subject AND the question. It is something we don't think about on a daly basis. And an occasional reminder doesn't hurt. After all, it's all part of romance. -

Probably Jamie and Claire Fraser, simply because they would be the only couple that has enticed me to keep reading a series on their own merit (without there also having to be a big overarching plot of impeding war or doom). -

Favorites would definitely have to be: Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice); and Jo and Friedrich (Little Women). (: -
