Letter from the editor

Too Much our Eyes Consume~ --"Black & Blue"` Haywire.

HaHa! "Consume" indeed~ "wink"

I often remember of horror movies and books I enjoy, not the screams, the sounds of unrelenting stalking, the thumping hearts of panic stricken victims, or the horrific creature, or person intent of "evil play" haha! No, Often horror when it seems to come from the most mudane human norm made brutally inhumane.

The most horrifying act. that unerves our deepest morals is "Cannibalism". It happens in our world more than we care to know, each time we do we are shocked, distrubed to the soles of our feet. It is one of society's deepest taboos, and exploited within film and literature galore. It is considered a perversion only for the most insane, yet...

"Cannibalism" is all to real. It is a belief for many. One of the first known accounts of chewing/eating human flesh was Carib natives discovered by Columbus and The Maori, settlers of New Zealand.

Some real life "consumers" Ouch!

Alferd Packer-- an american prospector, who ate his expedition after becoming lost. At the time of 1874 he was given the longest sentence ever of 40 years.
Albert Fish-- a serial killer and cannibal. He murdered and ate his victim. Details are quite awful, ask me of more.

Issei Sagawa-- a student studing English in Paris. he shot his co-ed, and ate her over two days. He was deemed unfit for trail, and set free a little after one year and lives free today.

Andrei Chikatilo-- over 50 people before he was caught, what he did is what our nightmares are made of.

Jeffery Dahmer-- murdered and ate 15 boys before being caught and convicted. he dies after being beat to death in prison in 1994.

Armin Meiwes-- placed an add for a victim and had a volunteer. Even more distrubing.

Amazing when I looked how much this happens. In Film and literature one of my favorite cannibals is none other than Hannibal Lecter. Educated, Brillant, and crazy. three things not often together. *Smile* Books by Thomas Harris, and film "The Red Dragon (1981)", "Silence of the Lambs (1988)", "Hannibal (1999)", "Hannibal Rising (2006)". Hannibal was choosen by the American Film Institute as the #1 movie villian. *Smirk*

Some more films that make you look at your fork and knife in new sight. *Laugh*

-Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
-Dawn of the Dead (1978)
-Soylent Green (1973)
-Sleepwalkers (1992)
-Alive (1992)
