Polls and Surveys are also Activities

It is officially here. The end of the year is upon us in 2 weeks from now. Just when I got used to writing 2010, I have to count one up. So many fun things to do and so little time to do them all right.

You can escape the stress of writing that contest winning entry, or the nerve-wrecking tension of hoping your raffle tickets were hold the winning numbers by giving some other activities some of your attention. Polls and Surveys are not only there to help another member a majority vote for one or the other thing. Many polls ask questions that really make you think. Questions that require you to sit back and reflect for a moment before you choose one of the possible answers.

Surveys are a bit more interactive. The survey format allows for multiple choice type questions, much like a poll, but they also give the chance to write in your own unique answer to the question at hand. Surveys can be entertaining and educational. Check out the one below that quizzes you on the suffixes -able and -ible. Can you get all of those right?

Find polls and surveys about just any genre by choosing a genre and the item type poll or survey. You will be amazed how many people are pondering the same questions you have, or those who have found answers you were seeking.

Visit the "Writing Contests @ Writing.ComOpen in new Window. and "Activities @ Writing.ComOpen in new Window. pages for the listings of all the great things that are going on right now at WdC.

It is so much fun! Thanks for organizing it!

Last month I asked: For the next time, tell me about the most flamboyant/fun/festive/amazing US or exotic Thanksgiving tradition you know of. For those traditions with dates earlier or later in the year, give me a date.
The person to submit the most amazing answer via the box under the line Send a comment or question to the editor with your item submission. will receive a Merit Badge of their choice from me. DISCLAIMER: This contest is run by me, NaNoNette Author IconMail Icon, not by WdC. If you have any questions, please send me an email.

The best answer came from scribbler Author Icon: In Canada we celebrate American thanksgiving too, with my American friends of course! They can't go home so we have a huge dinner here. We get wickedly drunk and sing the 90s hit "Allstar" by the one hit wonder Smashmouth instead of saying a prayer. Lord knows why!

Congrats! Let know in an email which Merit Badge you would like.
