Halloween is Nearly Upon Us
October is my favorite month of the year. I love it so much, I made it part of my handle. October brings us plenty of reasons to have festivals before the approaching dark season (in the northern hemisphere). People in colder countries will soon feel the bitter cold of a long winter. As a last hurray they have harvest festivals. In Germany, the world famous or infamous Oktoberfest celebrates the invention of liquid bread. (The Bavarians said that, not me.)
In the USA, and more and more around the world, the last day of October is called Halloween. Children dress up and walk around their neighborhoods threatening their neighbors with tricks unless candy is given out. Due to laws against vandalism, those people too sour to decorate their front yards usually go unscathed through the last day of October with nobody approaching their dark house for a sweet treat - or to paper their car. Now, I don't encourage papering the cars of your neighbors. They might not have the same sense of humor that you have. But what you can do is write about them. If you wanted to play a bad/silly/dangerous/illegal/harmless/annoying prank on those uptight neighbors all year long, sit down with your quill and parchment and write it up in minute detail.
Check out "Writing Contests @ Writing.Com" , which is teeming with contests that want to see your worst. Not your worst writing mind you! Your worst nightmares, your worst horror scenarios, and also the funniest things you can experience on Halloween. Contests and activities designed to coax the silliest ideas out of you are plentiful. Go to "Activities @ Writing.Com" for the newest, most up to date, freshest Halloween themed fun you can possibly have. . |

Summer is nearing an end, soon fall will arrive, leaves will change and something new will be in the air. That something will be Halloween, one of my favorite times of the year.
In the spirit of Halloween this months contest is an open round - any sub-genre; any style - The only thing I ask for is that you keep it related to Halloween. So you can have anything to do with this time of season. Ghosts, ghouls, supernatural beings, the walking dead, trick or treating, pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, etc.
Erotica with a plot or purpose!

One of my favorite things in the world is duckies. I love how festive they can be and how they fit any and every occasion. To that end, this raffle will feature duckies that change with the seasons. |
