About This Newsletter

Cupid shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth I know where,
It hit the ground beneath my feet,
Startled I gave a shreek.

Letter from the editor

Who is Cupid? Despite the wings, Cupid is neither an angel nor a demon. He is the Roman god of Love. He carries a bow and arrow, which cause anyone they hit to fall in love. The diaper he wears symbolizes modesty. The blindfold indicates the randomness of love. Sometimes he is shown as being nude, according to the information I found, this symbolizes the innocence and purity of Love.

Who were Cupid's parents? His mother was Venus and his father was Mercury. Was Cupid married? Yes. He fell in love with Psyche, a human. She was made a goddess and at sometime he married her. They had a child named Pleasure.

Cupid seems to make an appearance every Valentine's Day. Why he does this, I have no idea. Perhaps you can write a story explaining the reason. The obvious reason is marketing, but is this the only reason. Perhaps you can come up with something better.
