About This Newsletter

Hello everyone, I’m Samberine Everose and I'm here, one of your guest editors in the Spiritual Topic of the WDC Newsletter, and just like I've been saying I will not be tired in expressing my thankfulness to all the beautiful people here in this wonderful community of writers for not only helping us to improve our writings but giving us also encouragement and inspiration every day. *Smile*

Did you know that when we are serious with our faith,
It can really move mountains?
It can serve us the wind so that we can sour up high above the clouds and meet the sky.

Letter from the editor

What is Faith?

Though I already have a little background about what faith means, but I desire to know it more.

I've read that Faith is something that it isn't based on what our eyes can see, or not based on physical or solid things but rather faith should be based on things that we don't see but we believe in.
We trust it.
We have assurance and confidence in it.

Faith always start on believing,
So when we believe in something
we already have faith in that something.

There are two characteristics that can ignite our faith.

*ButtonO* Familiarity
When we are familiar with something,or we know the source of that something, there is a possibility for a concrete and a good foundation.

*ButtonO* Trust
When we are already familiar with that something and we believe in it.
Trust will come.

But, faith will be useless, without work. Believing will not only stay in our mind and become a dream but we should work it out.

The proof of our faith or our belief is through our deeds.

For example, I believe that I can write another children's story and publish it. This will be useless if I will entertain Mr. Procrastination.

So my belief will not work, it will stay as my dream only.

But even if we have faith and we work it out, but if we don't blend it with love, we don't love what we are doing, all those things that we do, even if we will be successful if we don't have the love, it will be useless.
it would be nothing.

So, be careful in what or whom we are believing, because there is a possibility that we can be deceived.
We should be certain then and build our faith from a good foundation in what or in where we are believing because it will be started here and can ruin everything that we may already have accomplished.

There is a very good foundation in which it is the source of everything, and will ends everything that exists, in where we can trustfully rest our faith and surely it will not ruin and collapse- it is the Word of God, The Promises of God.
The more we 'immerse ourselves to the 'Promises of God the more confidence we have in Him - our Faith will not only be built up but also be leveled up. *Heart*

Ask & Answer

Our Question for this week Newsletter:
Where does your faith had brought you already?

Our Question from "For Authors Newsletter (February 16, 2022)Open in new Window.
Why do you write?

Why? Because it allows me to bleed my feelings out, making room for more.

It's not accurate to say I never hated it, or that I never ran out of words, or quit doing it at times, because passion is like that. Same as when I was learning guitar, there were weeks I was so frustrated with my inability I had considered smashing the instrument to millions of pieces, and didn't even pick it up from the stand, but I went back to it eventually... and Now I'm laughing about it.

Cheers.

Why do I write? because I have to. I need to give the voices that live in my head life. I can't not write. If I don't write, I don't function, To me, it is as natural as eating or abluting. Writing is a part of me that has been there since before I knew how to put pen to paper - my mother taught me to read and write so I stopped dictating stories to her, before I went to school. In my life, I have had 1 consistent - writing.

I write to vent out my feelings and how I perceive the world.

I write because I must, otherwise the ideas and pictures I have in my brain would overflow out my ears or make my head explode in a very messy fashion!

Writing for me is an escape and a catharsis. I've been writing for as long as I can remember. This means ever since I could pick up pen and paper. If I wasn't writing I was drawing pictures that would go with the words I wrote. The poems I write are the emotions flowing out of me. And the stories I write are all my imaginings I can't keep inside.
Elfin Dragon-finally published

I write for the same reason I am still alive, because I am in my own world when I write. No one will hurt me in my world. A better question would've been, 'What does writing bring you?'. It brings me the happiness I need. ~Ane

Therapy. Many veterans do. Some draw. I know a Marine veteran who draws very graphic comic books. My writing is mostly worldbuilding with not enough story telling. I think it was Poul Anderson who estimated that for every hour story writing, he spent five or six on background. Based on that, I could write stories for several decades. Worldbuilding is addictive.
