Patience is not simply the ability to wait - it's how we behave while we're waiting.
-Joyce Meyer
Every bad situation is a blues song waiting to happen.
-Amy Winehouse
I worked at a movie theater in Tempe, Arizona, when I went to community college there. And I got fired because a sorority had rented out a theater to watch 'Titanic,' and they were being really rude to me while they were waiting for the movie. So as I tore their tickets, I told them the end of the movie.

The hated month of February is finally over. My next Comedy editorial is scheduled for March 31, the day before Comedy Christmas (aka April Fools' Day). I usually have something to say about February, and something to say about AFD. But now? Um... it's March and St. Patrick's Day is coming up? I dunno. Spring is almost here on this side of the equator? Hm. Nope. Nothing.
So I'm waiting.
Lots of waiting going on these days. Most of us are still waiting for vaccines. You might be waiting for politicians to get their acts together (if so, you'll be waiting for a very long time). Maybe you're waiting for the motivation to strike you to finish (or start) that writing project you keep thinking about.
Maybe you're a waiter and you're waiting for restaurants to reopen so you can work again.
Or you're waiting for something - anything - to happen to jar you out of complacency.
Sorry, that's not going to come from me. Complacency is comfortable. Besides, almost everything bad in the world comes from someone deciding to do something. (Everything good did, too, but who wants to look on the bright side?)
I know I waited until the very last minute to submit this newsletter, but hey, it got done, right?
The important thing is not the waiting, though, but what you do while you're waiting. Reading is always good. Watching mindless TV works. Or playing video games. Maybe you're waiting for a better video game to come out?
So what I'm saying is:
Don't try to lose wait. |
And now the links you've been waiting for:

Last time, in "After Groundhog Day" , I (obviously) talked about the aftermath of Groundhog Day.
Everyone must have been so in awe of my fan theory about the eponymous movie that they couldn't bring themselves to comment on my genius. So, no feedback this time.
That's it for me for now! See you at the end of the month. Until then,
LAUGH ON!!!
