Scare With Me Some Poetry
Once again the spooky time is upon us—although the world may celebrate it differently this year. Since we may not be participating in spooky fun times as usual, I wanted to come up with a spooky poetry challenge to perk up your celebration, if needed.
Using the featured poetry form below. 1) Create a spooky poem. 2) Share it with at least one person—either virtually or in person.
OBJECT POEM
Usually an object poem is either a unique look at a familiar object or taking a strange object and making it familiar. For this challenge I'd like you to take an ordinary object and spookify it.
MUST HAVES
–Create a poem that takes a unique look at something familiar OR taking something strange and making it familiar.
COULD HAVES or WHAT IS THE POET’S CHOICE IN ALL THIS?
--line count
--number of stanzas
--topic, theme
--meter
--rhyme
