Letter from the editor

Hello folks! It’s September! And you all know what that means, right? It’s the very special 20th WDC Birthday month! And what an exciting time it is. All of WDC is abuzz with activities, contests, challenges and fun and games. Great prizes are up for grabs, as well as copious Gift Points!

This is also a time to get away from the all the bubble-bursting negatives that came in with the year 2020. We WDCers can actually party for a full week and beyond with many of the activities and contests last the whole month, without wearing a mask or worrying about social distancing. It’s all good! *Angelic*

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed over the 13 years I’ve been on the site, members are genuinely happy during these festivities. There is a laughter you can almost hear bouncing off the walls and halls of WDC. September is also my 12th year of being a Comedy Newsletter editor. Never missed my deadline, never had to skip an issue. Nope! I’ve been boring my readers, all thirteen of you (random number. Actually my favorite number so I’m sticking with that choice.) for twelve whole years. And you know what? YOU are stuck with me! I shall keep writing these Comedy Newsletters for years to come, hopefully, until I reach 5000 followers! *Ha*

I’ll keep this newsletter short and sweet because I know there’s so much to do around the site only 7 out of 13 of my readers will actually show up to read this during the official birthday week. I don’t blame them because I’ll be partying along with everyone else. *Laugh*

Please be sure to check out some humorous events going on. We all need to laugh as much as possible. Dice are rolling everywhere! Many shiny objects are being flaunted to attract members into their lair activities. There's a mystery to solve in 20 sentences, ONLY! There’s always lots of humor involved there! I believe there’s a sort of Bingo game going on and some kind of Monopoly activity as well … or is that Mod-o-Poly? *Angelic* There's all kinds of mask-wearing members running around, but not because of Covid ... There's actually a Masquerade Party being hosted! And so much more fun and games and various competitions!

Crowds are gathering in every nook and cranny of WDC . Waiting lines are possible, but grab some popcorn, candy apples, plus lots and lots of chocolate. I know there’s a place that has every chocolate lover’s desire that’s sure to bring on the smiles. Plus, being virtual, nobody gains any weight ordering them!

Now that we are at the bottom of this delightful newsletter about fun and laughter, I have some surprises up my sleeve. *Smirk* So, the seven of you who do see this, or surprise-surprise, should many more of you appear and leave a comment, feedback, or a request, will be placed into a virtual dice roll for a special celebratory gift! *Stop* [This special spin applies only to those who respond by September 25th. Winner/s will be posted in my next Newsletter, due on 9/30.] Remember, not only are we celebrating 20 years of this fabulous second home of ours known as WDC, but also cheering on your local WDC Witch for a dozen years of Comedy Newsletter editing! *Ha*

And in case you missed this on the Newsfeed recently. *RollEyes*

Egyptians invented the 24 hour clock, labeling 24 hours as a single unit. Unfortunately they didn’t know what to name that unit so they just decided to call it a day.

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY WDC *BalloonGo* *BalloonB* *BalloonR*
