Letter from the editor

I know rules have been discussed in previous editions of this newsletter but I wanted to take this opportunity to bring up another point about rules.

One night I was checking out "Activities @ Writing.ComOpen in new Window. to see what was going on around the site when I realized that several activities were showing up on the page more than once. This may not seem like a big deal to many members but it is against the plug page rules. It's clearly stated:

"Please post each item only one time per page. Once it has been pushed off the bottom of the page, you are welcome to add it again."

There's a reason for this rule and it's clearly stated also, and that is to provide fair exposure to all members.

Looking at the activities that were plugged more than once, I wondered what items had been pushed off the page. Maybe an activity that I would have been very interested in. *Confused*

When hosting a contest or activity we expect members to read our rules and abide by them. Rules are important. When advertising our items if we can't read and abide by the plug page rules we are not only setting a bad example, we are not being responsible or considerate to everyone else.

Basically, if I don't take the time to read the rules and follow them, then why should my contestants give me the same consideration? I wouldn't have a thing in the world to gripe about. *Wink*

We all make mistakes, but many can be avoided by just taking the time to read the rules.

Please visit "Plug Page HelpOpen in new Window. and "Writing.Com Official Plug Page RulesOpen in new Window. for some very helpful advice and information.

Until next time...

You probably just have Spring Fever, but for this wonderful comment, can I take your temperature? Want some chicken noodle soup? *Laugh*
