Letter from the editor

What's in every name?

When a couple is already expecting a baby, they usually try to choose the best name that will characterized their child in the future.
Mostly if not through adapting names of their ancestors, they adapt some names of celebrities or famous person hoping that their child will be fortunate too like the person's who owns the name.
Authors or writers have different style in choosing names for their characters, specially if this is for the protagonist and antagonist in the romance story.
One should be careful because when we are already chosen and used the name it will be hard already to withdraw and change.

Mostly authors usually chose name for their characters in a creative manner,
Here is the FAST Method you can consider in choosing creatively to born a good name for the characters of your romance story.

*BulbO* 1. Fictionalize-This is where you can fabricate a name through using the character's personality.
To determine the right name that will link to a certain personality
first list the personality that you would like to have by your character, is he is introvert, extrovert, serious or happy go lucky, and are this personality will about to change when blended by the personality of his\her partner/beloved?, then consult Mr. Google lists about names definition and personality.
We can fabricate also one using our own intuition.

*BulbO* 2.Alike - what imagery comes to mind when you stumble the name?
for example The name Aurora reminds me of a morning, same as Dawn, Don reminds me of a rich person,so it will not be effective if I will named my character to be Don if he is a poor boy in the story.

*BulbO* 3.Short-long names are easy to forget, unless if that name has a creatively impact.
using lengthy names may forget immediately by readers, names like
Maria Teodora Corazon, or Elizabethalia, Nathanielito, Michaelangelito its good maybe if that is the complete name of the character, and may use only in some part of the story, but in a scene in where calling a name, it would be preferred in their short names.

*BulbO* 4.Trendy-Is it link to the mood or aura of the story?
How was the setting of the story, is the story were taken during the Mediterranean Era or is it a classic romance?, what kind of race are the characters belong for, in what country?
So names can be determine through the trends that were used in the story.
Today in the touch screen tech. era, mostly the trendy names now is just only in a one or a half syllable name call.
The name Bhe short for Bell, or Ei short for Eithan, Lu, short for Leonor or even Hm.,are trendies. *Ha*

Names are very important to choose on and determine properly, specially if one is already owns that name.

The more we know the one who owns that name, the greater we have a confident for that person.

You can't call a person's name to ask help if you do not know him\her that willing to give you a help.

Name is so very important to every person, this is one of his/her identity.

In times when we need help and we call the One who created us, do we call His Name? or are we calling another names, names that can't help us so we will be disappointed when our needs will fail. Its so important to know His Name, and He will reveal to us if we seek Him with all our hearts.*Heart*

"Romance/Love Newsletter (April 1, 2020)Open in new Window.

I’m sorry, there are no sweeter words when heard with sincerity. We know the I’m sorry we are forced to say to our siblings after antagonizing each other. We still do it again when no one’s looking. Then there is the one we feel when we accidentally bump the same sibling who falls on to a coffee table and they end up going to the ER. What’s the difference? The heart. It’s the same two people and the same situation but the outcome de
