Hail Newbies and new at hearts! I am happy to be your guest editor this week!
Hiya everyone!
As I am still down the rabbit hole in the activity "Wonderland" I was wondering!
A question for the newest of newbies: why not add a bio block to the first page of your port?
The little box on the main page of your port is a way to get your flair..or flare out there.
Like an invitation to visit.
Or line or two to give us a taste of your interests or intentions.
Or it could be a way to show your voice!
Make it fun! Informational! Creative! A little glimpse of you!
You can decorate it up with emoticons and colour. You can even add a little cover picture....from your computer or even from WDC's Cover Stock collection. You can add these to your items too to add a bit of colour to your port.
When you are editing an item, and click on the place where a cover goes, a page will open so you can find WDC covers or a place to put your own! "Covers"
Some folks even use it to advertise a little item or another's contest, or interesting item to read. And you can change it up when ever to stay current. Here are a few examples from our WDC world....so many styles!
Click Portfolio/Portfolio in the left column.
Click the gear icon at the upper right to open the Manage Portfolio Header area within your Portfolio tab.
Read the details and rules regarding your BioBlock. Clicking on the 13+ opens the explanation of the Content Rating System.
Fill in your information.
Click Submit Update.
You might get noticed! and earn a ribbon!

Newbie Portfolio Project (E) How would you like a pretty ribbon for your portfolio? Non-newbies welcome! #1995591 by Cinn
Each year there is a category in the "The Quills" for Best Portfolio too!
Just some fun things to play with, once you get oriented.
I often wonder why people do not add a little bio block to say hi! Seems easy to me and I am always a bit curious about folks when I read their work. Maybe others will be too! It is a quick way to connect with potential like minds or share what's new and exciting at a glance. I see many ports with no little twinkles of who one is!
Also, for a lengthier share: "Biography Tab" Biography!
So, if you do not have one, here is your challenge: Do it!
Have a Happy March! and Write on!

Enjoy!

When is the last time anyone told you that every little thing you do is so appreciated? I've been hanging around WDC for a long time, and I must say that all encouragement and invitation to stay creative does not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do!

"Doubt is harmful and prevents someone to go forward indeed
It is from our mistakes that we learn and evolve
If someone loves writing she/he should feel the constant need to express her/himself
We never finish to reveal our inner thoughts whether we have just started to write or we are advanced in this writing art especially within this wonderful web site that offers us motivation encouragement and a wide space of liberty of expression
Great issue Thank you for sharing!"

"Yes, yes! Such an inspirational newsletter to the newbies to step out there and be seen and heard. Goodness knows I could have used some of this advice those first few weeks I signed up before bolting because I felt too overwhelmed.
Much thanks as well for showcasing "Wonderland" ! "
