![]() | Technological Faith ![]() On the intersection of faith and technology. Share Your Faith entry, February 2024. ![]() |
Dear Jeff ![]() This review is a part of "I Write in 2024" ![]() ![]() Overall Impression: This essay is an interesting response to "Share Your Faith" ![]() I wasn't aware of the church management software, and the various apps available. I agree with your concerns that technology can lessen the benefits of being a part of a faith-based community by making it increasingly easy to participate without actual human contact. I also agree that cell phones can help us access handy tools that can improve our day-to-day lives but, at the same time, they can distract us and stop us from being in the moment. The prayer app sounds interesting, as does the daily goal/habit tracker. The habit tracker reminds me of "Habit Heroes " ![]() ![]() It is true that there is the risk of doing something to check that box, rather than have that full quality of the experience. That's life, I suppose. Some days it may be performative; other days we experience the full benefits. The building of good habits is beneficial overall - we just have to try to establish and maintain that balance. As you can see, you have made me think. I like that. You have done an excellent job with this piece. Suggestions: I have no suggestions, dear Jeff. Not helpful, I know, but I could find no spelling errors, no messy grammar, and everything is clear and well-considered. As said, excellent work! My Rating: This is an impressive response to a contest prompt. I enjoyed the read. I had no suggestions. Everything was clear and balanced. I will give this item the 5 out of 5 it deserves. Thank you for sharing your work. Write on! Kit ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
