*CakeB* HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary ReviewsOpen in new Window.*CakeP*

What brought tHiNg meandering in a space time continuum over to your port?

*Cow*It is almost your sixth account anniversary!!! Happy Happy One to you. I meant to read and review this wonderful poem and it got away from me (like anything I think of and then get distracted by something these days. I'm like my dog in that I look in the other direction and I"m gone.) I enjoy what you did with my little prompt.

I put a lot of thought into my prompts and find it interesting that the short ones seem to inspire some amazing writing, as is certainly the case here.

What does tHiNg think about while perusing your item?

Looking back in time, it is the way we deal with things, to question them. I found this poem to be very consistent with that approach. We ask if things were real because they seem so vague now and far away. I think time is kinder to us than we are to ourselves. It sort of softens things through a haze of jumbled memories.

Also, life is like a movie. I can think of five movies in particular for my life. Bits and pieces of the story seem to resonate over time. I guess it's this way with books too, but with a movie you can run it back in your head. The juxtaposition of life and movies can be tricky. I tend to prefer the way the movies resolve things. A lot of things in life never get wrapped up, it seems.

What does tHing moo and applaud about while reading your item?

This was my favorite part.

"Was it real? I don't know.
Only snippets survive
from oh so long ago.
I feel Summer's heat, the
sun in the sky aglow."

I especially enjoy your repeated refrain that you start each stanza with. It's haunting.

I also like that you used my prompt and managed to fit into anothercompetition with your poignant poem.

Well done! Don't be a stranger at the Cramp. Enjoyed reading your poem very much - sorry I am a bit late on the scene!
