"Game of Thrones"  Open in new Window. by Creeper Of The Realm Author Icon

OVERALL IMPRESSION -
There are those that believe in gypsies, and thoses that don't. Sometimes a reading can have negative effects that last a lifetime. You showed what one palm reading did to poor Ellie well.

WHAT I LIKED BEST -
Geoff's determination in getting help for Ellie and marrying her. He wasted no time getting her help from the moment he saw her.

PLOT~
Geoff arrives to see the woman he intends to marry in two short weeks. Ellie isn't there, and he meets with her mother for the first time, Mrs. Grace. Ellie has told him about her mother, and Geoff braces himself for a rough first meeting. Mrs. Grace is cordial and hopes that he marries her daughter, though she seems worried. Geoff goes for a walk and comes to a cliff where water rages below. The housekeeper, Mrs. Buckle confesses that Ellie has met with a palm reader who told her she wouldn't be marrying Geoff and that information has changed Ellie profoundly.

CHARACTER(S)~DESCRIPTION~
Geoff who is really confused about the changes in Ellie and works to try to alleviate her fears. Ellie who takes the palm readers insights to heart and obsesses over it.

Good descriptions at the end of how the cliff began to crumble, taking Ellie with hit as Geoff looks on in horror, unable to save her. The added touch of him reading that sign was too little too late. Nicely done!

DIALOG~
Interesting conversation with Mrs. Grace and Geoff. I was waiting for it to be a confrontation and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't.
