OVERALL IMPRESSION -
This was a great read. I could feel Kate's excitement as she begged her mom to tell her all about her witch's secrets. Especially when she got to do a task for her mom and went out to pick the flowers.

WHAT I LIKED BEST -
The ending. I was laughing so hard at the message Jennifer gave to her daughter to relay to her mother-in law. I hadn't seen that coming at all, which made for a great little twist.

PLOT~
Kate knows her mom is a witch and is dying to be let in on the secret. Her Nana has told her all about it, and the girl takes it to heart. Jennifer plays along and sends her daughter on a task to pick some Lavender, but Kate decides her mother really meant the scarlet flowers and returns with them.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT~
Jennifer is angry when she realizes where the information about her being a witch has come from. Kate is too young to understand fully that what her Nana was saying about her mother.

DIALOG~
Great scene of mom and daughter talking in the kitchen as Jennifer was baking. I liked that Jennifer couldn't understand where Kate was getting all of her information from in regards to witches and spells. Very cute story and the humor at the end where Jennifer called out her mother-in-law was fantastic.
