First Impression: The ticking of the clock hooked me, I wanted to know why the clock was ticking. In this story Edmund is testing a new piece of equipment for the military. The descriptions are part of the action and move the plot forward at a good pace while building the suspense.

What needs your attention: The phrase does not make sense, submarine until its diving area, I suggest changing until its to either until it arrived at its or to its.

What part I liked best: I like Edmund and Sarah because they are sympathetic characters. Of the two my favorite is Sarah because she is a strong woman. I also like the title because it suggest a theme without giving away the plot. Another thing I like is Edmund's reaction to being in the submarines conning toward. He acted as if he believed the rescuers would be arriving soon.

Overall impression: The interaction among the characters reveals their personalities and relationships with each other. I enjoyed reading about this steam powered submarine. The description of the ship was well written and allowed me to picture it in my mind. Write on.
