"Game of Thrones"  Open in new Window. by Gaby Author Icon

PLOT -
It's Ron's turn to do his duty and step up for a week to help his mother out so his sister gets a much-needed break. At first things start out smoothly, as he drives his mother to the store to get glasses. Soon Ron discovers that things are a little bit more difficult getting his mother around than he previously thought.

SETTING -
Picturing the scene as they shopped from one store to the next, and onto the bank was so easy. You painted everything so clearly as the story unfolded. Great job here with descriptions.

CHARACTERS -
Ron's mother who cannot see very well and uses a walker. Ron, a doctor who comes to spend a week helping her out, thinking it should be a breeze and that his sister usually has no patience when it comes to their mom.

GRAMMAR/SPELLING/DIALOGUE -
The inner dialog was fantastic, and I could picture him at those moments as things happened during their excursion.

THOUGHTS -
Hilarious. I was reading this at 6 in the morning and laughing throughout the story. This was a great read. The best was the ending and knowing what the next day would bring Ron. I swear it's almost like his sister set him up. Give him one fairly easy day and then BAM, good luck on day two. The scene in the bank was so funny. Amazing how our vision goes, yet we can still get around and know where everything is. Write on!
