Plot/story elements: Did I feel attached to the story or poem? The waterfall seems to me to be a metaphor for life or love. It travels down a timeless path, past youth, into love, and becomes a muddied stream but not before it crashes violently, not unlike love and monogamy. Or at least for me, once where the waters raged, they've quieted into a steady flowing stream. Would I recommend this piece of writing to someone else? It's a beautiful reminder of the need to purge ourselves and live in the light. We all have impurities that we need to lick clean, but the process of purging is what makes us humble and beautiful. Was there a clear purpose to it? Yes, it's a striking reminder of life, love, and the need to reclaim our innocence after a good tainting. It happens to all of us, but the important thing is we learn and grow from these experiences. The point of them is spiritual evolution, or so I believe is this poem's purpose. Glows: I can feel this waterfall's action and see it so clearly. I bet I never look at a waterfall again without referencing this poem. So, there is great purpose in what we do here. It has the the potential to touch in ways we didn't see coming. Grows: None.
