Her Crooked Smile [E] His floral devotion to Mother lives on. |
"SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP" Hello there, Brian K Compton & Knightly! This is a Simply Positive Review! I am also reviewing this item as a judge over at
Your beautiful words melted my heart. I pictured your dad bringing the plants and flowers that your mother so enjoyed to her, for her lovely garden. She was so loved and he was so devoted. You paint an amazing picture of their love as a couple. It also reflects your love as her son, for you so fondly put the words together that brought her to life in my mind. The crooked smile trying to turn upward, was so precious, for the readers will understand how joyful she was and those who loved her knew her heart was smiling in a huge way. The continuation of planting the flowers she so admired, upon her grave is so special. We siblings, place flowers on our parents' grave each Memorial Day Weekend. She will be dead three years one month from today, and my heart still aches, terribly. Your poem is well-crafted, with a sweet, melodious rhythm easing through from line to line. Almost effortless, it seems, because it is written from the heart and spirit. All those emotions were felt when I read it. Wonderful tribute to a wonderful woman -- your mom. Until next time--write on! Regards, WebWitch My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
