A flash fiction comes alive, here, as a couple of gamers, try to make it to their destination on time, to compete with others for the big pay off.

One friend tries to push the other along faster, as he knows his friend is of large physique and basically, slow moving, with the only bus to their destination arriving soon.


Observations:

... because , not only do you need the money to buy a gift for your girlfriend ...

"Running as fast as they can. [as they could,] Tom and Jeff, two friends, on their way to be part of John's party."

"One of the most reputed activities during the summer because everybody goes there to prove their talent as [a]video gamer and also because of the prize of the day."

""The driver was closing the door when suddenly he heard a voice shouted [shouting]out:"

"The bus stoped then the driver got down to see if he hit someone."



These above grammatical issues, seem to imply to me that English may not be your first language. However, Your story still came through with a humorous ending that teaches the lesson, that even a slower moving person, can have plan to make the usually, on schedule bus, wait until he and his friend got aboard.
