Hello! I enjoyed reading your item and hope you can benefit from my review. I review as a reader first, then an editor . If you have questions about my review after you read it, please email me! *Delight*

*Heart*Favorite Part: But you don't see it: you wrote this for the purpose of trying to figure out why the words aren't flowing out as easily as you may have thought they would. I think this small piece is like personal research.

*Reading*First Impression: I think you are speaking about a problem all of us have as writers: what makes the words flow, how do we get ideas, why isn't it easy? It isn't easy, that's the rub. But when the words and the thoughts and ideas do start to flow, get them down and worry about polishing them up later.

First of all, welcome to writing.com. I suggest you join a couple of newsletters we have here on site about all different kinds of writing to learn from the newsletter writers and from your peers.

Then, try writing EVERY day, just 500 words at first, random thoughts, reviews, outlines for a story, research, thoughts, whatever. Keep writing, keep it up. It is a muscle you need to stretch out and strengthen. Enter some contests, check out the New Horizons Group here (which has great beginner and advanced classes). Get yourself something you can jot your thoughts down on, as you get them, in the bathtub, on the way to work, in a dream. Write them down! I use an iPhone app, because my phone is always with me.

Writing reviews is great practice to get your fingers flying and writing. It will help you understand what works and what doesn't.

There are loads of writing books and online help for new writers also. I found, though, I spent more time reading, then writing, so I joined this site and one other and got cracking!

As I go on this writer's journey, I understand the best writers who make it look easy have put their blood and tears on the page. What is really great, though, is when you write a poem or a story and someone reads it and tells you they related to it, or it made them laugh or cry!

Check out the contests and fun for this weeks WDC birthday party and welcome to the wacky world of writing!
