Hey Charlie ~ . It's 💙 Carly - aka Joan Watson .

I am a little late starting this port raid but I figured I would hit yours first. I picked your poem "Invalid Item" .

I was impressed. I loved the imagery and felt I was right there with you feeling the heaviness of summer just before a storm.

I especially liked the verse about the older woman. The lines:

admiring their silky petals
between her experienced fingers,
the pride of their growth
evident in her smiling eyes.{/centre}

painted a sweet image for me and I loved it.

I also liked the relaxed calmness that resonates from the final stanza.
Very nicely done. Thank you for sharing this piece. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
