I just came floating in your port, and saw that it's your birthday. So, Many Happy returns. I didn't quite understand the last two lines of the second stanza. Maybe you were talking about a friend who likes to do reviews. Whoever he is, he's always welcome at my port. What's the betrayal all about? You could allign the poem at the center to make it look better. I had some confusions, that's why I rated it comparatively less. Is the ellipsis really required? or is it just to create an effect? Your work is always your own, and you are the best judge of it. I just gave my opinion as a reader. Keep writing!
