I had a, I guess, true hole in my finger once when a rusty nail, in a stick, I was holding pierced the skin on one side, went all the way through and came out the other side.

Good point. I have NO interactions with school kids. I have little interaction with Gen Z.

Regardless, there is no universal school system and no universal culture.

I have few goals right now. Resting is one of them. Traveling is tiring and renting for a month is cheaper and calms my nerves... not to the point where I'm comatose... but it makes me look closely at the mundane things that I overlook when I'm rushed.

I haven't written much poetry recently. I need to remember to jot thoughts down. That said, I'm learning every day.

Back in the days when I edited site newsletters, I grabbed guest spots for the poetry NL. Exploring the Venn diagram overlap of poetry and music was a bit of a theme of mine for those endeavors.

Good morning, Jim. I thought I hadn't seen anything from you on my Fave's feed in a day or two, so came looking ... and found this. I felt like you were writing for me.

I hope you're feeling much better today.

What a rodeo you provided those guys. I hope it all wraps up nicely with water (sometimes hot).

Hey TJ, I know my tastes when dining out have changed a lot in the last 25 years. I remember we used to love Red Lobster, now you'd have a hard time getting me near one. When I first started traveling, we dined at National Chains for the most part. Somewhere along the way we discovered dining local, and how good it was. Comparing national chain service and food to local service and food was no comparison. Local is so much better!

Rhymezone is one of my favorite places, and I love going "well, that one is a bit of a stretch, no?" when it offers those really bizarre 'near-rhymes'. *Laugh*

I Heart My Sox - No AI is as good as purported. That's why it's still on the author to evaluate what's being suggested. It's just one more tool among many.Grammarly, in particular, fails with dialogue with a comical confidence.

@ Brandiwyn🎶 v.2026 - while you guys were paying attention in English, which we've renamed Language Arts, unless we were reading or creative writing, I was either playing hooky in the band room, or snoozing in the back. All those Poetry Forms confused the daylights out me, I had enough trouble with my own feets!

@ I Heart My Sox - just like any Tool, it's only as useful as the user lets it be. Sometimes Grammarly is as dumb as a rock, and I apologize to rocks everywhere.

Have you tried attuning your schedule to your chronotype, instead of trying to fit your chronotype into someone else's schedule?

I have, but the world isn't made for night owls.

Grammarly isn't always as smart as it pretends to be. Some of its corrections are ridiculous.

Maybe when I was a kid or even a young adult. Nowadays, sitting up and getting out of bed is enough of a morning workout.
