"Oh, there you are", the classmate said, "Sorry that we forgot about you".
Phil recognized the girl from his introduction to the class earlier...
"Your...Francine, right", Phil stuggled to remember.
"Yeah", Francine answered, "But I like Franky better".
"But Franky sounds like a guys name", Phil announced.
"And Francine sounds like an old woman. Besides Franky can be a girls name you sexist. apologize", Franky responded in a joking tone.
"I'm sorry", Phil apologized, obviously taking Franky way too seriously, "I didn't mean to..."
"I was kidding", Franky interrupted, "You know, Phil, your just a tad bit dense".
"Not you, too", Phil whined, "My sister tells me that all the time. I don't even know what that means. I don't take up much space or carry much mass, so I don't see how you can say I'm dense".
Phil's explanation caused Franky to giggle.
"You're funny, Phil", Franky admitted, "and smart, too. I'm glad Karen didn't..."
"Bah, I'm not worried about that", Phil calmly stated, "I've never been one to hold a grudge. Then again, I've never been one to know anyone outside my family. Hmmmm, maybe I should rethink my stategy on this..."
Again, Franky found Phil's ramblings to be most amusing. Franky lowered herself to her knees in order to see Phil face to...well Phil.
"Wow, your quite the looker, too", Franky complimented, blushing, "Oh...uh...I mean, for a little guy".
Failing to cover her tracks, Phil found it easier to let Franky off with a simple "Thank you" than to force the issue further.
"Well", Franky continued with a short pause, "Shall we"?
Franky places her open palm onto the desk next to Phil. Phil gives Franky a questioning look.
"Huh", Phil asked.
"I came in here to take you to lunch", Franky said, "Remember"?
"Oh, yes. Right", Phil remembered, "Thank you very much".
With that, Phil climbed into Franky's hand. Franky gently and slowly raised her hand off of the desk and stood up to her full height, keeping Phil in front of her face. Franky then started to head for the cafeteria, continuing her small talk with Phil.
In the hallway, Karen is at a drinking fountain in front of the cafeteria door.
"Maybe we should wait a moment", Franky told Phil.
