Ms. Markus and her little troop followed Wilma Wonka inside to a fabulous visitor's centre. The kids all spotted the games right away, but being grade five and thus totally cool, did not run for them quite as they might have when younger. Ms. Wonka spent minute welcoming them, telling them they'd be taking the factory tour of a lifetime, then when she paused, the five made a break for it.
Each of the games was different, but all produced the same prize - a Wonka 'Cherry Special' for each level a player attained. Amanda, the snob, played, but when her prize came shooting out of the hatch, she ignored it.
"Aren't you going to eat your prize?" Ms. Markus asked.
"No, my family eats only the best chocolate!" Amanda replied in her haughtiest sneering tones.
"These ARE the best chocolate in the world!" Wilma Wonka stated, striding over.
"Nothing you produce could be as good as Belgian chocolate!" she retorted.
"Oh? You have to try this!" said Wilma, whipping a different chocolate out of a pocket. She unwrapped it and waved it under Amanda's nose. "This one is literally irresistible.
Amanda's mouth watered at the scent. She whipped the chocolate out of Ms. Wonka's hand, ripped off the paper wrapper, and gobbled it down in a flash. Then...
Finally, there was Amanda, a complete snob. Not only did she think that she was better than everyone else, she demanded to be treated better than everyone else. The best books, the best lunches, the best attention, nothing was to good for this girl and she knew it.
