Chapter #4

Shrunk cousins

As you continue watching TV, you begin to notice your two cousins shrinking. What's funny is that they don't notice it. Once both of them are so small that you can't see them from your chair, you stand up.

You walk over to Barney's seat and see him in the process of climbing down the leg of his recliner -- and he looks utterly confused. Noticing your shadow over him, he turns his head and sees you smiling down at him. To his shock, you place your palm underneath and him raise it and scoop him up in it. Suddenly you hear something squeaking below. With Barney still in your hand, you look down at your feet and see Dora between them.

She's just as small as Barney now and looks more like a tiny ant next to your foot from where you're looking. You grin. You're tempted to just crush Dora like a bug, the way she's annoyed you so much, but you see her tugging at the laces of your right sneaker.

"Hey Dora," you say, grinning. "What do you think you're doing, pipsqueak?"

Realizing she's not afraid of you, you become annoyed. She appears to be trying to climb up your sneaker from the front now, and finally makes it on to the top area that covers your toes. You're amused by the idea of this, the crouch down and pick her up with two fingers and place her in the hand that is still holding Barney. You bring the two of them up to your face to get a good look at your uneasy cousins.
