Something climbs out of the hole

As the hole gets bigger he sees a long, red disfigured arm with giant hands and claws attached reaching out of the hole towards him. Tom backs away from the hole just as he begins to see disgusting gooey, big, white eyes and big sharp teeth with a very long tongue come close to the opening behind the arms. It was almost as if he was being attacked by Carnage from Spider-Man
