Stan leaves the house to get the rabbit for his experiment, and sure enough he gets it with success. However, little Alex tells him he would like "Buns-Buns" back before dinner time. Stan laughs and tells him the rabbit will be back in no time.
Up in the attic, Stan sets the rabbit down onto the table, then checks out the giant submarine in the corner of the attic. "This is it, for the first time a human being will be injected into an animal," Stan says out loud as he checks the outside of the submarine. As he is finishing the adjustments of the sub, Stan doesn't hear the phone ring. The answering machine picks up and its Diane. She informs that she is actually on her way home and doesn't have to work late after all.
Stan enters the sub and prepares for the sub to shrink. He plans to fly the sub into the needle, and wait for Diane to inject it into the rabbit...little does Stan realize that he didn't leave the note for her to do this task.
