Chapter #5A Friend My Size by: Ethan Craig was surprised to see that the person he'd be rooming with this year was just about the same size as he was.
The Dragonite was approximately the same hight as Craig, but that was normal hight for a Dragonite. But in terms of weight, the Dragonite was just about as overweight as Craig. Dragonites had always run a little heavy, but this fellow certainly abused the privilege! His belly distended a good ways from his abdomen, resting idly mid-way down his thighs. His chest was also well proportioned to his belly, and his arms and legs were also well padded. He had a very round, jovial face and his tail was thick enough to balance his hefty gut. If anything, he was a little bigger than Craig.
"The name's Lucian". The Dragonite extended a pudgy hand.
"I'm Craig," replied Craig. "Nice to meet you."
The two of them shook hands and exchanged nods of friendship. They talked for a bit, and found that they had a good few common interests and hobbies. When it came to the dorms, the school was pretty good about pairing students up based on common interests and had pretty good results when it came to roommates sticking together. They two of them were quite pleased to find that they had so much in common.
"Heh, I feel like the school was able to find me a roommate my size as well!" Craig blurted out. After realizing what he said, he brought his hand to his mouth. "Oh I'm sorry!" he exclaimed. "Shoot, I hope I didn't offend you!"
Lucian let out a jovial laugh "Ooh, not at all!" he replied reassuringly. "I've never had any bad qualms about my weight. I guess you could say I'm happy being fat!" Lucian slapped his gut, and it wobbled aesthetically in response.
"Whew, that's good." Craig let out a sigh of relief. "I guess you could say I'm the same way. I've always loved eating... guess all of this is just happy memories of the good times!" Craig grinned, and grabbed a roll of his own soft midsection.
"You too eh? Eating's always been a love of mine as well," replied the Dragonite. "Once I get going, I can't stop!"
"You too?!" exclaimed Craig. Things were going well enough already, and now his first friend in college was one of the only people he's ever met who's shared his eating habits. "Man, finally, somebody who's on my wavelength. Maybe they do factor in size when picking roommates!" Craig laughed, and Lucian joined in.
"Actually," Lucian chimed in, "do you want to go get dinner after this?"
Craig grinned even wider. "Definately! But where? The cafeteria's the only place I've seen here..." indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
