This choice: Craig, a Charizard morph, as he faces the freshman 15 • Go Back...
Chapter #3

The Freshman 15 (or 50... or 500...)

    by: Ethan
Craig was basically your average teenage Charizard. He got good grades in high school, had a bunch of friends, and was going off to college soon. However, there was one aspect to Craig's being that set him apart from most of his species.

Craig was quite large for a Charizard. Quite large.

First of all, he had always been tall for his species. While most of his breed was around 5'9" to 6', Craig measured in at an astounding 6'7". His height itself had always been enough to make him stand out, but his weight helped greatly in making people notice him. The average Charizard is said to weigh about 200 lbs. Well, at the time of his graduation, Craig was tipping the scales at an impressive 486 lbs. He was quite flabby. His gut arced out from underneath his nicely-endowed chest and cascaded down his midsection, which would wobble from side to side with each step he took. His arms and legs were proportionally padded, and even his long charizardian neck had been swallowed up by the flab he's put on over the years. Even through his clothes, his flabbiness was noticeable.

The cause of this was simple enough: Craig loved to eat. Whenever he had the opportunity to eat, he would exploit it to the fullest he could. It wasn't like he was greedy or selfish in character--one would actually say that Craig's personality was more fitting for a smaller body type. But even though his personality was as so, he could never leave even the smallest scrap of food on his plate. Eating was one of the few things that Craig simply found aesthetically pleasing.

Of course, his parents always tried to keep his eating under control. They always made eating a dinner time activity only, and made sure they didn't eat at buffets very often. Buffet trips tended to be long and tedious--for Craig could eat long after his family was finished. When Craig ate out with his friends, they made sure to give him a specific amount of money that he could spend--and being the good kid he was, he always obeyed.

But now, Craig was all done with High School. He was moving on in his life--going off to College. He had gotten into a very prestigious school--which happened to be quite a ways away. Craig would be starting life without his parents around--he would have to fend for himself, make new friends, and make his own decisions.

----

The car pulled in as Craig's family arrived at Nationwide University. It had taken a good two days to get there, and everyone was quite exhausted. Craig's mother told him that she and his father and brother would probably stick around and check out the town before they left.

"This doesn't mean we're going to stick around, however," Craig's mother firmly stated. "You're off on your own now. You understand that?"

Craig grinned. "Yes, mom, I understand." In reality, Craig was itching to get out of the grasp his parents had kept on him. They weren't tyrannical or anything, of course. He was just eager to be on his own.

"All right then... lets get your stuff out."

So Craig and his family unloaded all of their luggage and unloaded in Craig's new dorm room. He was in the Rocky Tower, room 416. They finished unloading, and Craig gave his emotionally declining mother a flabby good-bye hug. He walked with them out to the car, and they left. For good.

Craig let go a sigh of relief. He was on his own now! He could basically do whatever he wanted. He held his chubby head high, and strutted off to orientation.

However, on the way to orientation, he happened to catch a whiff of something... well, edible. He turned his head in the direction the scent was coming from, and found himself staring into the doors to the school cafeteria. His stomach immediately began rumbling.

Erk... he thought to himself. I'm so hungry... but I need to go to orientation... but I'm so hungry! Turns out that Craig would be facing a decision in which he would soon find very frequent. What does he do?

You have the following choices:

1. Hit the cafeteria really quick!

2. Orientation first, then food.
