The sparrow had a tight grip on you, barely allowing for any sort of a struggle at all. You fly beyond the beach, beyond several resorts before reaching a tall tree somwhere at the outskirts of town. You arrive at the nest, where the sparrow drops your body out of its maw, but only to be faced by the bird's mate. Slightly smaller than her male counterpart, she cocks her head to the side, and the male chirps to her...almost as if signaling to her somehow. For a while you watch the two birds, absolutely petrified. They don't seem to be doing much of anything at all. After about 20 seconds, you try to bypass the nest, only to be stopped by the female's body in front of you. She sidestepped to avoid letting you out. You try the other way, but the male stops you as well. There's no way out. You're trapped.
At this point, the only thing you could do is to jump out of the nest. It may seem ridiculous, but the birds aren't going to let you walk out of their nest. You sigh in desperation, and jump out of the nest. It is then that the female springs into action, flitting out of the tree and catching you in midair with a snatch and a gulp. You quickly make your way to the bird's crop, and the female bird settles down. Struggling madly within the crop, you hear continuing chirps from the female, but they're different than any you've ever heard. Perhaps it was...enjoying your struggles? You stamina drains, and you fall to an everlasting rest.
The male heads out to go catch him that last little earthworm while the female rests, contented by her lovely gift of you. How thoughtful and yet, how painful. Not for you, though. You've already gone unconcious. At least it wasn't in the morning, or else there'd be some witty comment about the early bird and the worm here.
