"Well," Nathaniel said again quietly. He looked at the Djinn thoughtfully before he continued. "I've always wanted to be taller."
Ormann smiled broadly. "That was always a very common wish. Most men and even some women wanted to be taller than they were. I don't know why people aren't satisfied as they are."
Nathaniel sighed. "It would just be nice to stand out in a crowd, I guess. I'm only 5'10", so I blend right in most of the time."
Ormann nodded and turned his eyes back to the television. Nathaniel looked at him for a moment, realizing how much he'd wanted the Djinn to still have the power to grant wishes. He looked back at the television and soon forgot about the conversation.
Later that afternoon, Nathaniel got up to go to the kitchen. As soon as his back was turned on Ormann, the Djinn pointed his long, bony finger at Nathaniel and sent a short blast of magical energy at him.
Nathaniel didn't notice anything, so he kept walking into the kitchen to make a sandwich. As he stood in front of the refrigerator trying to decide what to put between a couple of slices of bread, he had a disorienting sensation. The refrigerator felt like it was getting smaller.
"Wha--" Nathaniel didn't finish his exclamation. He turned away from the refrigerator and looked around him. He stepped over to the bar. The countertop always struck him at the waist, but now it hit him at mid thigh.
Realization dawned on him. The Djinn had not lost his magical powers! He had granted Nathaniel's wish to grow taller. He was already about 6'2" and the countertop was still falling lower on his leg.
Nathaniel allowed the sensation of increasing in size to flow over him. It was as sensually satisfying as he'd ever imagined it would be. He felt his pant legs riding up his calves and felt his shirt tightening around his chest.
Within seconds, average Nathaniel was average no more. He was a little over seven feet tall!
He heard a noise from the living room. Ormann stepped into the kitchen and looked up at Nathaniel. "Well, my friend, I trust that you are pleased?"
Nathaniel never thought he would look down on the Djinn. Ormann had towered over him mere moments before. "You didn't tell me you could still use magic!"
The Djinn grinned mischeviously. "You didn't ask."
Nathaniel smiled down at him. "I am pleased with this new development, Ormann. Are you up for some more magic?"
"You set me free from my eternal prison. I am ever indebted. I would be glad to use my magic for you."
